hey there - can you give us some more details?
from my experience it really depends on the keywords you are trying to rank.
Some of my keywords need only a couple (I use expired aged and build tiered links to them - over time).
Other keywords take more plus PBNs.
It really depends on what you are trying to do.
Are the 2.0s you built brand new?

First thing - check if they are indexed or not. If not you won't get any results from them.

It all depends on your KW difficulty. For easy kw 10-20 Web 2.0s should be enough. For everything above you will have to get stronger links. I also recommend expired web 2.0s as they are stronger than fresh ones.

Did you submitted it on indexer? Did you build a second tier? Sometimes also you need to be patient . Google is weird sometimes.
i know, i started project like 8 months ago i pit some work and only now started to index new keywords since that it had only 2kw..

Thanks for sharing my case study!
I've been swamped with other projects so it's fallen by the way side a bit.
However, they do work well and all the links I built are on new properties.
It's about content and relevancy. It takes a while, but basically I create these web 2.0s as though they are actually money sites, but instead of having a CPA offer or Amazon link on them, I of course link back to my money page.
For those that have low comp kws and don't/can't shell out money, it's definitely worth a try.
