My new site with no objective

Hi, I am at a loss as to how to work with a domain that I recently purchased.

It is called Ruined My Life and I have so many ideas about which way to focus it but none of them give me the idea of making a living from it.

I looked through the whitehat forum and thought that I would eventually go down that route, but for now, I dont mind using blackhat techniques as this would help to get my site past its first step.

I want to monetize the site and I was hoping to find something that would help pay the rent on a recurring monthly basis.

Can anyone help?

I like the domain name, but like AGJ said, you have way too many niches it can fall under.

Why not make a forum out of it, sell advertising on it?

RuinedMyLife is a pretty broad term.

Depends on what you want out of it.

If you have a passion for this topic you could do a long term investment.

Build a forum for people to rant, rave, help one another etc..

Have your categories set up accordingly ? alcoholics ? drugs ? gambling ? porn - yadda yadda.

Find some good offers and target them. I?m sure there?s a lot of self help affiliate programs out there.

Hittem with newsletters etc.

If you wanted to be a really nice person, you could target all these people with their addictions, i.e. send email with links that cater to the addiction, send porn to the porn freak,etc. ?Probably Bad Karma Tho.?

Short, you could do a ?My Life Sucked, But Now It Doesn?t!? find out how I turned my life around. Find some decent self-help crap and sell it.

Throw the site together with a crappy header and articles wrapped around adsense so they get bored and click your ads..

Build a decent site layout, fill it, back link and throw it on the selling block.

Me, I would do one of the latters.

Just remember, don?t get to attached to one thing or idea!

Creative block can be hard ? let it go ? come back and evaluate it later.

For the time being, slap a site together, grab relevant content and stuff some ads to it..

Yeah and interestingly enough, I knew Sam.

From the days when he performed at Stanford's Comedy Club in Wesport, Missouri.

Couldn't drink there after the skit, so he would shed his hat an his coat and we would go across the street to Blayney's; a place in a basement and he could just be himself.

If a guy has a site like the one mentioned and can't make money with it, just sign it over to me and I will give him 5% and make him rich.

There are very few salespeople and a lot of "internet marketers" out there.

The difference?

"Internet marketers" put up a zillion links and wait for things to happen; they are the scavengers of the 'net.

Salespeople get out there and put the shit in front of others; they tell them why, they refer, they blog, they stuff; in short: they get off their asses and go kill something instead of hanging around in a tree like a vulture waiting for something to die.

Maybe you could sell it to someone. I have no idea if there is a market for this kind of thing, but the domain name strikes me as a lucrative one. I think some smart domainer might like to snap it up. Short term gain = cash flow.

I'd probably hold on to it.

I was thinking of splitting the site into 2.

Part 1 would be a business forum where you can rant about your mistreatings. Maybe you have been blacklisted, maybe you was ripped off and it cost you more than you paid?

Part 2 would be split into a further 2. A forum where people can discuss their personal problems about being dumped, being ill etc, and then a paid forum where people can get more...........nasty in their revenge by posting pics, vids etc of their ex

Plus advertising on this site, I think it might just work
