Which type of URL you are using?

mysite.com/a-b-c/x-y-z or mysite.com/a-b-c-x-y-z? Which one good for SEO? Thanks guys

My opinion is the 1st one. Then only user can identify, on which category they are landed. For ex: if some one searching for apple 7 plus specification. The category must be apple and the sub category should 7 plus. So that user can find out they are landed on 7 plus specification page. You can also add more pages under one category.

For ex: www.abc.com/apple/iphone-7-plus-specification/

Search engines also give priority if you create the clear URLs

Hopefully, you already have various categories on your site. If you do, your URL format should be "site.com/category/title"

That's the best way to make your URLs as SEO-friendly as possible. However, it's also what visitors like to see, in my experience. None of that prolonged "site.com/gibberish/g/jdk/hahkdhkt-321-654.html" nonsense. The first format I mentioned also looks more legitimate for sharing purposes.

I dont think it has any SEO impact, just better user experience. It depends on your site and the size of it too. For smaller sites, you may be fine with the second structure and if you like, you can always pick the first option.
