How do you get links from .EDU websites?

I'm not talking about sites that are spammed into shit, I'm talking about websites that has some quality in them. Anyone can share some techniques on how to get a link from those websites?

Scholarship method

An old method was posting jobs on the Uni jobs boards.

I guess if you are looking for high quality edu links you will need a high quality website that is relevant to students.

Sometimes you can find students who have personal blogs on strong edu domains.

Become a student. Or even better work with the company, I knew a guy that was working with the NHS and he got a shit ton of good backlinks that are still live.

I posted a big roundup of different link building methods here on BHW last year.

I have a few resources on .edu and .gov link building.

Resource pages or a contextual link in an article or blog would be a good option. Resource pages are probably the best though as they are aged and have good PageRank. They'll pass more link juice then other link building methods on .edu.

I'd stay miles away from scholarship pages. The OBL is so high on most of these pages and it's been spammed to death. There's no relavance on the scholarship page. It's just a bunch of OBL to scholarship pages. Whereas a link on a resource page in your niche would be a great link to have (even if OBL is high, can't really get around this on resource pages) because the link is relevant to your website or page.

Post an ad asking for students in the local area who have access to what you want. You are looking for someone with editorial privileges - pay them.
