I never seen someone talking about online sport betting sites on bhw. IM means getting money online from the comfort of your home, so does betting. With online betting sites you can make easy money ifyou know the type of sport you are betting. And I believe this can be a great source of seed money.

I think BHW should open a section to discuss online betting. Any thoughts?????

If it's not fraudulent, it's ok.

If there's enough demand/activity, we can look into a section for it. Discuss away!

For a number of years that's how I made my 'online money' I was active on a number of forums back in 1999/2000 ( don't ask which ) and the great advantage if you're UK based is it's tax free as it's not 'earned income'.

People however often confuse betting with gambling.

Actually IM means Internet Marketing and betting doesn't require Marketing activities. That being said, I guess people here don't bet that often or if they do they don't publicly post about it. Also I don't think the topic breaks any rules on the forum so why not.

Made a living from it for a couple of years and a section for it might be interesting but it would also 100% attract the usual spam that comes along with that niche.

Also, as above, not IM by definition since you're not marketing but it's still a potentially viable way of making money online.

I think your definition of IM is delusion at best, betting is in no way related to internet marketing. Running a betting forum/blog and monetising it is indeed IM but the activity of betting is unrelated to IM

Every niche can be spammed.

I admit that I am wrong about IM. But, it is still an online money making method. We are here to get some greens online. So why not?

I don't think betting is IM at all.

But if the foum opens a section, I'd be fine with it.

The way we do it, it's IM. So I'd be down to have an extra section to share some knowledge :)

"Internet Marketing," as it implies, is the process of carrying out marketing activities on the cyber space. It is obvious that online betting does not in any way relate to marketing. The ideas are completely different. In a nutshell, betting is not marketing and marketing is not betting.

If we are clutching at straws here, this is Blackhat World, blackhat seo forum, so by that definition, anything other than blackhat seo should be removed too?

Well, I think you misunderstood my point. I'm not saying that adding a betting section to the forum will be irrelevant. OP sounded like someone a bit confused about the difference between both terms, that definition was meant to clarify that.

Sorry, I don't see how betting can be compared to IM. Actually this is insulting for every hard working IM entrepreneur, who is working 10 hours or more per day. In bets you can try to learn as much as you want. In the end its not up to you whether you are successful or not. It is not predictable...and if its predictable the odds are shit.

I've been in and out of IM for a number of years now and I'm not insulted by someone who makes money betting. It was my main income for a while and can be perfectly predictable. Even if it wasn't, it doesn't make it insulting.

Exactly, betting with a strategy and balance management isn't gambling. I've also been on many betting forums but in 2007-2010 and learned many strategies like martingale, fibonacci, next goal minute etc. it was fun but with a lot of ups and downs like life itself actually
