You need to resize your videos beforehand, if you don't want them to be cropped and if the tool doesn't have this option built-in. The default resolution is 1080x1920 pixels for both pics and videos for Instagram stories, aspect ratio 9:16. Any pics, videos, which aren't in this resolution get cropped/zoomed in by Instagram.
If anything, the second upload looks better to me, the first one is distorted. Unless you switched the pics by mistakeI know mate, I have the videos done in exact Story Video Size as I used to post the videos manually before, but now I have too many of them and it takes too much time to do it manually. The videos are in the right size, just somehow Jarvee crops the videos himself

If anything, the second upload looks better to me, the first one is distorted. Unless you switched the pics by mistake, the Jarvee one looks better. I don't see any cropping though, it's distortion on the first one.
