How to write in a topic I don't know anything about?

I recently had to do this when I was writing about a product.
What I did was find articles about the product, visit the products main website, search for videos that covered the product, and looked up reviews. After I did all that, I chose what I liked and disliked about the product and wrote about that.
Though it depends on your niche, I am sure that you can take a similar approach to most topics. At the end of the day though, if you are not an expert on a topic, you better be a great writer. Otherwise there would be no reason for anyone to read your content over somebody else's.

You'll get shit articles. Even if you can fake it and research it and rewrite tons of it (you will), it'll still have stupid mistakes in it that anyone who does understand will know you were faking it.

You're allowed to use other peoples research in your articles.
You're even allowed to rewrite articles.
If you actually change paragraph/sentence structure, you can even create a unique piece.
Additionally, you can disguise it even more by using several source articles instead of just the one.
Just don't rewrite it badly, so in the end, it's not exactly the same.
Do you think everyone who writes product reviews, actually goes out and buys every product?

Can you tell me even briefly of a good rewriting strategy to not be found out? I mean should I write sentence by sentence or paragraph by paragraph, etc..? things like that?

- Re-write the original article on a paragraph by paragraph basis. If you re-write each sentence separately, you may end up with a messed up piece of content that doesn't make sense. Besides, it's easier that way anyway.
- When re-writing the content, don't just replace each word with a synonym. Read the entire paragraph, understand it, minimize the browser tab, then write it in your own words.
- Make sure to change any personal details, stories, experiments, etc. Create some of your own. Unleash your creativity, fellow BHWer!
- When re-writing a list, do not forget to change the order whenever that's possible.
I personally would rather hire someone to do a rewrite if it's a topic I'm not au fait with.
If it's money site content, a manual rewrite is the only way to go. Buffer sites, you can get away with using a spinner for inner pages.
Now, if the topic is something I have an interest in / have knowledge of, I'd open up an article in one screen and read it a couple of times. Then rewrite it myself, changing sentences and paragraphs accordingly. Add in your own thoughts/feelings/experiences into this new piece. If you have access to unique images, use those too.
