Having an added furry family is a sense of having courage.
When I was a kid, we had a dog as part of the family. We named him Sprite.
We grew together. I was the youngest and only son, but with Sprite I had a little brother.
He died in front of my eyes. It was around 2 in the afternoon, near our kitchen, we were gathered along with my father and 3 sisters, as we see him lying and slowly dying. I was told that he was poisoned. It was traumatic.
Now that I'm old, I only see and admire seeing those dog owners.
There's this urge of me having a dog again, but the experience keeps on reminding me with that incident.
So now I only admire those dog owners with their furry family.
I'm just a coward, afraid of experiencing the same pain again.
Enjoy your moments with your family. I share the same sentiment with you.
