Spammy links removal with using disavow tool

I requested Google to remove spammy links that pointing to my site with using disavow tool in end of the December month. But when I checked search console those links are still visible. So, my question is how much time does disavow tool take to remove bad links?

If anyone can help!

it takes time, but do not expect any changes in your ranking. you are just better off building more powerful links to diminish spammy links. All legitimate websites, do have tons of spammy links which has nothing to do with their own actions.

I stopped using disavow tool over 4 years ago, and never looked back.

i dont care about spammy links anymore. with all the changes google has made, it knows what links are spammy and it just ignores them.
