Emoji is good in SEO?

Hi guys,

I have added one emoji in my website its showing in the page when I am inspecting and see, but its not coming in SERP

Can someone tell me why?

I think it is up to google. I saw very few website with the emoji in the serps. I have also tried it and never got the emoji to show up

Not many emojis work. I've personally only had success with STAR and Phone (ascii).

I have tried the trophy, didnt work.. i have seen smileys.. i think the website you saw either did it a long time ago, or has a higher authority.. or just luck

You shouldn't be worrying about emoji's not showing up on google. If you rank well with your content and links, people will see those emoji's anyway...

..and it's not a ranking factor, it never was and it never will.

True but it does help increase CTR.. it makes you stand out, just like if you have star ratings in the serps and you are the only one..

Its not direct ranking factor, but if we got more hit, though we r in 5th r 6th position in SERP. With the CTR, our ranking also improves rite.......

One tip is to check websites that shows up with emoji in the SERP and see how they do..... Its not that hard

I know it's not quite related to the title, but can we all appreciate how searchenginejournal just moves you from URL to URL without you clicking anywhere - just scrolling down and boom - you were moved to a new page - that's surely helps SEO a ton more than emojis.

Showing emoji in meta descriptions doesn't look professional at all. I wouldn't click on a result with a emoji. Personally, I have not seen any SERP with an emoji. Is that a thing?
