How would I mometize a site?

I have plans on generating traffic, but my problem is: a way to monetize them. I planned on putting pop ads on it, but I see ppl here (I don't know if they're being bitter) that says it's no good. What ad networks should I use? something that is not as strict as adsense but as good in pay rates. It will be a file hosting site. Thanks.

You could try affiliate marketing - depending on your niche, choose an affiliate network which can offer you a relevant offer.

Definitely referral links to relevant products. Goes a long way. For example if you have a cryptocurrency news website, a referral link to binance/ledger e-wallet etc can help monetize effectively

Only works if the site has good metrics, is a legit site with solid, genuine traffic.
