Depends on how many you want to point there. Keep it 80% Brand, 20% URL. You can't screw anything with that.

Just depends on the site and the competition. I usually shoot Web 2.0s to my home page with other diversity links. When I need an extra push I might shoot some of my weaker PBN links (tier 2) to the Web 2.0s. Everyone has their own strategy to attaining the ultimate goal: Top Serp Position. What works for one site, may not work for another. There's no cookie cutter approach to SEO. I learned that the hard way..... good luck
