Moderators, I do apologize if this is in the wrong section.

I am always terrible when it comes to name branding, but I excel very well when it comes to product/service.

At first I was just going to be a standard local SEO Firm, do everything from the sales to that actual SEO.

I bought in my opinion a great name to brand a Seo company with a short domain name

Seoxxxx.org (not the name of the company, just blacking it out because I never kiss and tell)

Now as I’m building, I had the idea to bring upon friends as the representatives for the company and pay them on a commission basis as it would make it easier for myself to scale and they are incredibly skilled salesmen.

So I wanted to get some opinions.

Since the hardest part is selling the actual service and now I I have a team to do so, I would like to expand the services to more of a digital marketing firm.I will be offering the following:

Seo
ORM
Lead Generation
Facebook advertisement campaigns
Web design

As this is a new business, I do only have one client, and I haven’t started any social media yet.

The question is: Should I keep my existing name, or should I rebrand?

I get very paranoid about small things for I like to pay close attention to detail.

The word Seo flows into another word
Example Seoasis

So it’s not like Seoguy or anything like that.

What are your opinions BHW?

There is a good argument to rebrand if you plan to offer many more services than SEO. However just remember that its better to be amazing at one thing than just ok/decent at a bunch of things :-)

What would you recommend?
I personally do not want al my eggs in one basket.
So that’s why I wanted to expand my services.
Maybe I could start out in increments such as

First offering SEO and Lead generation

Seovalley.com seems to be doing well

"The question is: Should I keep my existing name, or should I rebrand?"
I would not, because imo Names do not matter that much. As long as you keep up the good work and have a HP where you have everything listed, nobody is going to care.

But since this is not my business, I would recommend you doing it. The reason for that is that you "pay close attention to detail". It is your business after all, and you should
eliminate everything that is holding you back. I think that you will always come back to that question if you are not going to rebrand it now. This may sound kinda spiritual BS
but yeah, just my 2cents on that.

Thanks for the reply!
I understand where you are coming from as well.
If you think that offering multiple services with my name won’t be affect then I will not change, my mind will be at ease!

Rebranding is not always a good idea if you've already put money on your brand, remember businesses always have a downfall time.

Not a lot of money is sinked in.
I would rather bite the bullet if it equals more revenue later on.

I am noticing a lot of SEO companies offer these services as well.

No offense, but maybe you are overthinking it. SEO-XXXX sounds completely fine to me from a phonetic standpoint.
Now, if you believe your brand might be misinterpreted because it offers much more than SEO, yet it has a big bold s e o in it's simple name, I would like to make a point that you will probably dealing with 2 types of customers:
People who know that SEO agencies have a tendency of expansion into all means of gathering leads and improving one's traffic, and the second..
..Clueless apes. Yup, animals that don't know what a search engine is, let alone what it means to optimize it or bring leads and social media traffic.
These guys have a specific 'I give mony *poof* I get moar mony' mindset, and as long as your brand/agency is known for making this sort of 'moar moneyes' transformation happen, you'll be just fine and just laughing your way to the bank.

All jokes aside now, I was trying to throw another perspective your way. Your business means your call, and if something feels right, then it's right for you, even if wrong for someone else. Either way you won't run yourself into the ground over a name. Your results will speak much louder.
Good luck OP and I hope you make the decision that sits right with you.
