What are you planning to do? A Raspberry Pi 3 might be overkill if you're doing something low powered.
Check to see if there's a Microcenter near you as they have very competitive prices compared to Amazon. If you find out that you only need a Raspberry Pi Zero, they sell them for $1 (at least in my area), but are limited to 1 to 5 per purchase depending on the store. You still have to buy SD cards, unfortunately.
I've purchased SD cards on the cheap from AliExpress, though you'll have to test each one and I don't recommend going above 4Gb. Also, removing most of the bloatware on Raspbian (if that's your OS of choice) frees up about a gig or so of storage.
