Simple question, surprisingly not a lot of detail on here about the details on this.

Say you are approached by someone who wants to buy your domain name and you want to sell it independently. How do you go about this?

Accept paypal payment? Transfer domain to them?

Do you know how to transfer it?

I know godaddy wont let you transfer a domain if you've only owned it for a few weeks...

You can use ebay or sitepoint to sell it.. As blogdev has already mentioned use Escrow for high priced domains so that you are not scammed...

You can transfert the domain the same day it was created to another person, but you can't transfert it to another registrar...
As shadowfax mentioned you can sell it on Ebay, Sitepoint, or you can try on DP, Namepros, DNF,Sedo, Bebo ;)

ohhhh thats what I needed to know thank you

Flippa seems to be one of the more popular ways to sell websites atm. Great for browsing sites for ideas as well.

In addition to flippa, sedo seems to be one of the most popular domain marketplaces in the web. If your domain is good and you list it there, it could reach a pretty penny :)

thanks guys I just sold it thru paypal
