Need some good advice here before I spend even more money on building a site.

I'm currently in the process of building an authority site on a hard niche. After doing some reading and research, I want to go towards something like the silo / internal link building type architecture.

So ideally I want a website with like 4 different category pages and 20+ articles on each category page to have a good foundation to begin with.

I want to know if should I get a website developed in PHP from scratch, or use a wordpress theme and get it customized a lot?

It 's probably more cost-effective using a wordpress theme and having someone customize it, however, I want something that will fit my website structure, along with the articles/content I post. I've heard about the over-optimizing wordpress can do with your content you post with all the bullshit they add to your keyword density. I also heard its hard to follow the silo structure with wordpress, not sure if thats true.

Yeah so this is a long term project also and I want to find the best option to last long term.

Thanks for that.

At the end of the article, he concludes that the hard part is getting wordpress structured so it starts behaving like silo architecture. I'm wondering if its worth getting the wordpress theme customized to behave like silo architecture or just get a website developed in PHP in the long term. Probably will get it outsourced either way
