So to keep it simple i own one of the best (if not the best) instagram page in the science niche, 215k followers (growing around 500 a day, 1k a day when i post 4-5 times/day which is not the case right now since i'm busy).
20-35k likes per pic, 180-600k views per video. 200 average comments.
It's not a normal page also because of the username which is an og one (do a quick research if you don't know what that means, basically the username alone is worth 1000$) and it gives a 'personal' twist to page, which is the reason because people refer to it as a 'person' more than a normal random page.
No, i never (and never will) sold shoutouts/promos as i'm not interest in killing my engagement for $50/post.
I got offered 10k$+ for the page but i feel like i can build something bigger with it.
I thought about building a blog and then monetize it through ads/affiliate links/donations. I also thought about making a 80-100 pages ebook (since the niche is science).
What do you guys think i could do?

Yes take the time to build a good website and finally launch it. realize that when you do many people don't like that but if you don't spam it and have good website people won't cry too much good luck to you!

Whaoh, congrats!
You are absolutely right to think to something bigger!

By the way, a friend of mine is trying to launch himself in DROPSHIPPING since a couple of months... Are you a specialist?

Best way: make website with adsense. Write articles about each photo you post on insta. Drive traffic from photo to your website link at insta profile.

- stable income.
- provide even more value for your audience.

thanks to every one that answered. I just bought a domain, which actually quite happy of since it's the same username of the account, which again is a very rare one (the domain is a .to tho, so not really the best)

The guy that said drop shipping, please tie a noose around your neck with all that dropshipping guru shit you swallow.

Way to monetize:
-Amazon affiliate with science related games, cards etc
-Affiliate with a company that has science related stuff (like cards of humanity but with science facts etc)
-Blog with ADS and a NewsLetter (Have the fact Pitch in the picture and force people to click on the blog link to view the full fact)
-Merch?(If its not related to a person this will fail)
-Kindle e-book or just a book
-Sign up for some powerlikes (get paid to like other peoples pics but be safe)
-Create a new account with a more easy to monetize niche and ask the followers to follow you
-Make a app related to niche and monetize it with ADS or even better put code that you can remotely activate and make a users phone bombarded with ads(google play will ban you plus its risky)

Make a Journey Thread, definitely would follow.
Goodluck!

The app is something i would be really interested in doing, but it will be a future step once the website will be completed and established enough.
Plus, no i won't do anything risky, spammy or stuff like that. This is going to be a long term project
As for the merch, it could be done. It's kinda related to a person: because of the username, every one refers to the page as if it was a person, but yet i never showed my face (and not planning to) on it.
Merch, ebook and that kind of stuff (affiliate too, maybe) could be placed in a 'shop' section in the website, does it make sense?

as soon as holidays and exams will be over (beginning of february hopefully) i will start working on this almost full time. As of now i don't feel like doing a journey thread because i know i won't do any major step for the next month.
I purchase the domain today because i was just looking for a nice domain and i surprisingly saw that that one was not taken (as a hint i can say that it's like doctor.to, architect.to etc.)

Build a blog and gadgets store around it.

Website alone is the wrong direction.
If I were you, I'd use it as platform to create a trendy science YouTube Channel like Minute Physics or SciShow.
Very few people following a science IG account really cares about science enough to read articles or to buy products straight away.
However through a YouTube channel you could create a personal relationship with the viewer, then it would be much easier to sell merch. Science videos done the right way (40% science, 60% entertainment) gain millions of views on each video. The ad revenue alone is worth thousands.
Lastly, the science niche always has paid sponsorships and rev share partnerships. Think of skillshare or square space or wix a similar website that advertises to a semi intelligent audience.
YT channel is definitely harder than slapping a few articles and aliexpress products on a shopify website but it would be 100X more profitable if done right.

BTW I've given this advice to others, some listen and work hard and it works out. Some listen but don't work hard, it fails. The only people that don't try appear to be introverted people who are closed off from the idea of recording themselves, if this is you I'd suggest looking into partnering with someone before closing the door on the idea.

I haven't thought about youtube honestly, but i understand what you're saying. I am indeed one of those 'introvert' that wouldn't film themselves, but tbh in the science niche maybe you don't even need to actually film your face if you think about it. Still it requires a lot of time and effort (as you said).
For the part where you said the account's followers don't really care to read, i partly agree with you. One of the thing that made my account grow 0-200k (and still growing) in 4 months was the fact that i use very long captions to explain in a detailed way what happens in the video, so i'm quite sure a good % of my followers would actually be interested in reading articles about science and related stuff.
Thank for the interesting idea tho, if i had to do something like that i'd probably go in the 'partnership' with someone else to actually do the videos

Hi

I ve just created website

Could you give me your opinion about it and if you could help me to promote it would be so apreciated

Thanks ina dvance

What about an amazon influencer link in bio? In your shop you could collect dozens of science books, tool, etc.

I've seen lots of whiteboard videos doing pretty well on youtube. Maybe you can do that if you don't have a problem doing voice overs.

oh boy you guys can't understand how much it hurts to look at this thread now. Instagram disabled my page (the one this thread is about), without any given reason. Literally burned thousands of dollars with a click. Been trying to get it back for 3 months now but no luck yet

So sorry man, I didn't realize this thread was created back in December. I really hope you get your account back.

What did you try? There are several methods to contact IG. Not every method is good for contacting because of a banned acc.

It’s so many ways to advertise your page u should simply apply for those several ad companies that focus on advertising for influencers
