Anyone started a new website recently?

So, after I lost my main websites in the recent google updates I decided to start with a brand new website, on a fresh domain. I wanted to try something different this time around and go for really low comp kw's (I'm talking google search suggestion kw's with "zero" traffic).

The main idea behind this approach was to see if those kw's are even worth it and, if they are, funnel the visitors to my main money pages. But, after a few published articles I got a bit discouraged since they are popping up between pages 10 and 20. I was expecting to be a bit closer to the top, since these are "low competition" topics with close to no search volume...

Any of you experienced anything similar and how long did it take for your pages to start climbing (preferably without any links built)?

Can really say.

But I'm doing something similar, I launched a new tube site based around low KD and medium traffic to see how it would work compared to high traffic/med-high KD ones.

I have tons of content on the site so it's still in the process of being fully indexed and everything. But Link Building is going to begin in the next few days. hopefully, it will rank really fast since many of my links are in a PBN.

Unsure if it's started showing up on Google, but I will update whenever I'm starting my building.

Yea, I was thinking something along the lines of a small niche blog, regularly updated, targeting low kw's without link building.

When did you notice your kw's starting to move up in the rankings, and did you build any backlinks?

Low search volume doesn't necessarily translate to low competition. You have the check the SERPs for yourself and assess the competition.

It takes time to rank top in google. Also work on SEO of the site.

Yes, I am basing my research on the SERPs, what websites are ranking, what types of posts (forums, blog posts, free web 2.0 platforms), and if they are even targeting the exact topic I want to write about.
