Dropshipping - The unknown ?

Hey guys.
I personally am a graphic designer and I also study Marketing at Uni and my friend is a social media manager at local media firm. So we would like to start a dropshipping store. It is in pet industry and targeted to EU. We both have a good understanding of how design and social media works but there are some things that we would like to ask you.

1. Is it to late to jump on Dropshipping train ? I have had heard from some that this model has been over utilised and there is a little room left to go.

2. I checked Aliexpress and lot of products has very long delivery times (10 - 30 days). Isn't this a big turnoff for potential customers ?

3. What are your thoughts. Better whole EU with site in English or specific country for example France in french language ?

4. Any of you who had worked in pet industry ... do you have any tips ?

Find a supplier that isn’t AliExpress, I believe that train is dead. Using AliExpress makes it very hard if not impossible to do. Dropshipping itself will never die as a business motto, but everyone and their grandma have used AliExpress.

As far as the pet industry goes, I cannot answer that as I never dove into that niche, but it is a frequently used one, so you have to figure out your target before execution.

Don't go with the Shopify route, trust me on that. Go with woocommerce, your own custom coded a website or just rip off some PHP scripts or even better PrestaShop.

They are located in Europe and offer a 2-3 days shipping time but offer other types of goods outside the pet niche.

it used becouse it secure , it drop shippers bread and butter .

there a lot of trust from ppl knowing it aliexspess you getting things from .

i just no for a fact aliexspess is brillaint for chinese deals and dropshippers .

never to late have a look at hawthorndistribution(dot)com... you have to contact them direct, based in uk so quick eu postage and they do pet products too.

if not then take a look at esources co uk ... they list loads of dropship companies in the eu so postage is a lot quicker than ali express. hope it helps and best of luck.
