Hey, So over the last few days i've been doing a lot of product research into this one product in hope that I would be able to make my first Dropship sale, and woke up this morning to find that I have 2 orders for the item.

At the minute I am having to fulfilll all orders manually which is fine for now but would be great to automate it a little bit more.

Now i've got my first sale, I know that with enough time, hard work and research I could scale this and make more.

What tools would you guys reccommend for doing dropshipping? what information should i keep track of?

Im very new to this so sorry for not knowing all that much!

Plan to list 2 HQ items during weekdays and 5 items on weekend days.

Also my ebay account is getting funds held, and I've had the account since March 2013 and have 100% feedback although this is my first time selling on the account

Thank you!

Hey i don't know about automation but i would love to work for you. I want to learn about ebay business.

Hey, You don't wanna learn from me I know nothing!

I've only just started this to be honest and its great fun learning everything.

Check out the Making Money / Ebay forum theres loads of excellent posts in there, any questions feel free to PM me I can always point you to the resources that i've used to learn.

I've been doing it for a week or so now and this is my first time ever, so far have £75 in sales from 2 products.

There's still money in dropshipping, and still a lot of customers you really need to spend as much time on researching one product instead of adding 100's of bad products to your store thats the main thing if not the only thing i really know right now, i have so much to learn yet

Congratz on your first success!

It would probably help a little bit more to know where is it that you are sourcing your products from. I mean, is it AE, some private dropshipper, branded companys etc.

As for listing products... From my experience, since you are not spending money on traffic ( fb,google ads etc. ) the best way to test products on ebay is not only by doing research on them, but to actually give them a spin in the market. Of course, description, some SEO optimization does help, but essentially, listing products on ebay cost little to nothing and if it doesn't sell... well, you just move on to another product. That's at least what I was doing when I was doing it. Because out of around 400 product list that I had, only 10% of them would make 90% of my income and all that knowledge came out of testing all of them. I've also been doing that for about 3 years and I don't think things have changed that much on that regard.

As for money being held, it will happen and the best thing to go around it is to ship and deliver items with tracking number ASAP and provide absolutely flawless customer service. I cannot stress that enough how big of an impact it has. Always add tracking number as soon as you get it and drop a message to a customer that the item has been dispatched etc. This does wonders for an ebay business. Again, in my experience.

I hope that helps in your journey.

Thanks man, Currently sourcing from aliexpress, however am looking to source some of my products in the EU so i can offer 3-5 day delivery instead of the dreaded 35 day delivery that you get from china.

I had a recent incident where someone complained that it took me 3 days to dispatch the item( he ordered christmas eve and messaged today moaning ) so i've just paid for his delivery to be expedited, makes me a small loss but sometimes this is worth it for the reviews.

Thanks again for your words and advice, I will take it on board and apply it in my store and see what happens! Quit my job today and don't start my new one until the 2nd so i've got a few days to really dedicate myself and start making my dreams come true!

You will get these complains a lot if you continue to dropship from aliexpress. I can tell from experience, that majority of buyers don't read listing information, especially when it comes to shipping terms and time frames. And since you are locked in ebay/paypal domain, should they receive these complains often, they will suspend your ebay or paypal or both. This is why people create several stealth accounts to bypass all these limits which will most likely come, because... well because paypal.

My biggest suggestion is, if this is truly your dream, make best effort to find non-chinese suppliers who will ship hq products within normal time frames. Aliexpress generally don't go well with selling on ebay, which is why people rather invest in shopify and paid traffic. You can hide negative feedbacks and delete negative comments on your fb etc. You won't be able to do that on ebay. And think about stealth accounts as well.

Ebay game is pretty tough and it becomes especially tough once you go big, but if you do things right, you make a very good living out of it.

I wish you best of luck and success in 2019 :) Be sure to create a IM journey thread. It would be interesting to follow a different dropshipping journey.

Congratulations, First Sale!

I've been doing it for a little over two months now have a 400 item store with around 150 sales. I'd definitely recommend some sort of listing software as It take's away the grind. A few good ones i know of are:

Hustle Got Real, DSMTool, DSGenie and SalesFreaks

I'd recommend one of the first three starting out and do plenty of research on each one and the suppliers they use and how they work.

Hope that helps!
