Website design cost?

Hello!

When you offer your service to your client, for a web design, do you include the cost of the Premium Theme, domain name, and hosting, or you tell them their specific price plus the price of your work?

How do you calculate the entire price to your client?

Try not to make very detailed breakdown, because some clients will focus on each little thing, and even try to take some out that they feel they can get cheaper elsewhere. Instead, bundle it up all together in a package, with separate services show as well if needed.

Premium Theme, domain name, and hosting, and labor (as you said)

Maybe try:

Web development and design (Theme + Plugins + Labor + Whatever else needed to make the website)
Monthly Maintenance (Hosting + Updates + Upkeep)
Yearly Registration (Domain)

I wouldn't even include that in the breakdown, and just include the expense in your cost. Assuming you use themeforest, I'd buy it, register it in WP, and give a full handoff to them and if they want to renew the license, it's on them after expiration.

i do it exactly like aaron wrote
do not write price for themes and plugins and stuff like that. they will "nit pick" and be a pain, generally.
a) web design / logo design / copy writing / video editing labor & things of that nature
b) cost of server & domain per year (or multiple years)
c) maintenance/upkeep

I suggest you go to reddit to find web designers. Theres a lot of talented ones that are in need of money and offer extremely reasonable prices. You'd be helping them out and getting a good design for good price out of it.

I don't think he's looking for a designer, I believe OP is one themselves. More like asking for advice on how to handle breakdown quoting/billing for clients.

I am not looking for a designer. Im doing it by my self.
I just want to know if its a good choice to mention to the client the different prices of the domain + hosting + premium theme + my work worth...

Also should i use my own bought theme and not activate it with my licence (the client wont get any updates) or buy a new theme for every project( and this will raise the total price by 59$).

Clients are nt technical.like you. They womt even know what a wordpress plugin is..

What i do is give them the total cost. Explaining each bit to client will will make them think of been cheated.

This is has nothing to do with you. Domain renwal is part of the client maintainance job.

I pack all the services in one thing as I sell it as a complete package. With many little things clients can check the prices and they may want to remove some services that they doesn't think are necessary

I price out projects quite differently. Here's a typical breakdown.
