Hey guys and gals,

Been browsing this forum for a while and thought I would register an account finally.

So little about me.. I have been in the hosting area for years and years before selling everything I had in 2015 as all my brands at the time were based on the still slightly popular game ‘Minecraft’, I wanted to move on to a company which didn’t rely on the game being popular for me to make money - I wanted a brand which stood for itself. So I completely left the internet for about a year and a half and actually worked on my career.

Fast forward to now I’m getting back into running online projects and so here I am. I suck at SEO so trying to learn a bit more about that if anyone wants to give me a little of their time.

Some more general info, im Jamie from Hampshire, UK and I’m almost 22 (March).

This was written quite quickly, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Oh woah! Not too far from me then :) yeah this forum is filled with so much help with SEO and the community is decent, I love the sarcastic but helpful comments people leave; it’s different to every other community I have been a part of.

Thanks! The brand cost me an arm and a leg haha! I just cannot work 9-5’s although in my case it’s 9-6!! Haha

Thanks mate! Well I wanted a bit of extra cash in college, so start the brand and at the time I didn’t really know much about how to run a company, the hell it wasn’t even registered legally for quite a while. The project it forced me to learn web design and overall get into marketing. It had its ups and downs but it really pushed me in the right direction with becoming my own boss. I remember all my mates would work in retail or pubs and I would just be at home watching money come in, a key point was when I was at a house party and I had a number of orders would added up to $500 that evening and I remember a few mates saw the notifications from PayPal and they lost their shit haha.

But long term I knew it wasn’t for me. No matter how hard I work at some point it will die because the game will stop being popular and that’s 100% out of my control, I wanted a brand I could really work at and it would grow based on that so here im with SiteTide, it’s been running privately for a year. We have been offering website management to small companies and sole traders during that time, and the last month taking the next steps to being public and allowing people to order from us without any prior emails or contact.

Right now we’re making a profit but I want to get it to the point where I can easily quit my 9-6!

2019 let’s do it haha!

If that's not a secret what was it about Minecraft exactly? Because there are countless other popular games out there all the time. Maybe you can replicate the business?

I am also Jamie.
I am also from the UK.
I am also learning SEO as the learning never ends.

Welcome :-)

Yeah, well I wanted to move to a company not based on a game. That was the main reason.

Oh woah! When’s your birthday? Imagine if that matches haha! SEO is good fun :)
