Hello,

I'm trying to understand the best practice when it comes to proxies and Instagram bots. I'm such a noob regarding the topic, so I hope you can help me somehow.

1) I know many bots ask you not to do any manual activity while using them, but I find annoying not being able to comment or like something that a friend posted. Is this actually a real problem?

2) And, going to the final question, when it comes to proxies...is there any way (and would it be actually a good idea) to somehow set my phone and pc look like they are always working from the same place? (So that Instagram doesn't see two different connections at the same time doing different activies)

If you have any specific answer or even any link which can help me in choosing which proxy (or even using a bot which solves all these problems) I would appreciate it a lot.

Thank you!

yes / no.

No one really knows. When people lose accounts, ISG do not tell you why, all people can do is think about it and try to guess. IT probably is not a "great" idea to do it, as most people do not do it. But could a business give multiple people access to the business ISG account who are in other parts of the country? Sure. But could it raise a flag ISG side, perhaps

Just use your home wifi. So both will be using the same connection.

Otherwise you would need to route your computer and phone through the same proxy.

How many accounts are you intending to run? You may not even need proxies, just use your local IP

Thank you for detailed answers!

Well, to be honest I'm just trying to grow a personal profile! I went quickly from 5k to 10k and now I'm realizing that if I can keep growing that quick, it's better to know a bit more about the best practices (especially after I received that like block).

For sure going for home wifi and office wifi could be the best idea normally, but being also often around I was wondering what to do.

- When not home/office, probably I should just limiting manual activity I guess? (does it mean also avoiding stories?)

- What instead when I'm not in my city? I was thinking about the coming Christmas when I will be In another country for almost 10 days. I guess the best practice would be to shut the bot down while traveling and just open it again when arrived so that I will avoid having a bot working on a country IP and my phone doing manual stuff on another country for those 10 days?

The best would be to limit dual usage, but you can use it at the same time without issue, many do. It would mean avoid complete usage of the app, stories and other functionality, as you would been seen to be logged into two devices at the same time. Is this ok? yeah probably. But is it safer to not do it, sure

best: one location at a time, so turn the machine off.
Would it be ok regardless? yeah probably.

Probably it is a metric, but there is no one metric. It would be lots of things adding up to cause problems.
Don't annoy users
Don't spam
Don't generate complaints
Don't over do things
Don't duplicate things over and over
Don't make the same search over and over again.
Keep things random / human like. Don't rush things

Keep the above in mind and you will be ok

1. If you automate your personal account through bots, make the bot "sleep" (do not do any actions through it) while you are awake and active on your account. The other option is to create another account and automate it through bots and keep your personal account bot-free.

2. You can use a VPN instead of a proxy and connect both your smartphone and PC (the PC on which the IG bot is install) - use the VPN as your only Internet connection. Most VPN providers offer you the option to run your VPN account on multiple devices, so if you get a VPN and connect all your devices through the same VPN server, it will look to web services as you are in the same place (on all your devices).
