Need some help with this SEO "problem"

Hey guys,

Im trying to clear someones name up on google. He has 1 bad article written about him and when someone searches for his name, the article pops up at page 1 on google.

I was thinking, what if i could get the article to page 2? This should be possible if i make other things appear on page 1 when searching for his full name on google.

Here was what i was thinking to do:
- Make a Facebook account with his name
- Make a Twitter account with his name
- Make a Linkedin Account with his name
- Make a Instagram account with his name
- Make a website with his full name as domain
- Make a wikipedia page about him

Does anyone over here have any further ideas on how to do this?

I also thought about:
- Making a site write a more positive article about him in the hope that site ranks higher


BTW:
I tried talking with the website owner of the bad article but he wont take the article down. So thats why im thinking of alternatives.

Why does he have a bad articles about him? To be honest at first i would contact the owner of the site and ask to remove it. If this doesn't work out you can proceed as you said creating a site about him and using social platform aswell

Tell the website owner that your client will be filing a restraining order and going to sue their ass soon if they don't take down the article.

Does that work? I want to be carefull since this can worsen the situation i guess? I mean what if he writes an article about me sending that email lol. Wont look good. Thats why i want to try to just outrank it.

Yes you can do that as these authority sites will rank easily for his name. As you can control the content this is fine, with practically no risk. But then you may also have to send backlinks.

This is fhe way to go to make the bad article go down in google.

I have no clue about Google SEO. Im stilL learning...

He has Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin I see. They all rank on page 1. The problem is that the article ranks on top lol.
Wikipedia, Google Plus, Pinterest, About me, Website with this name as url are my ideas.

Backlinks i dont understand yet, do you guys have any further tips?

Maybe a youtube channel with his name aswell? Post a video and use his name aswell in the title?

If you create social accounts that will get rank in google asap but he should be famous politician then only social accounts rank on google for his name..
Either Social account should have more active..

He is not that famous, small politician. He just has a name that not many people have. Thats why it shows up on page 1, and all the other results are also about him. His name is just not common.

Try to do some more social shares on his account, that will help to rank up

Should i just buy shares on blackhatworld?
If i do this for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and maybe even Linkedin, would that rank those sites higher then the article that is currently on spot #1 on the first page.

I was thinking to run adwords worse case scenario and take the first 2 places like that. But that is a waste of money i think... Must be better ways

In my point of view that will be waste of money.
I am not saying about only sharing social account..
Just I am saying be a trend on social media for some days and trendy posts

Try to buy some articles in well established blogs. The articles will rank high due to the authority of the host blog. Make good articles about the guy. Also go ahead with facebook (account and pages), linkedin, tweeter, wikis, few youtube channels with his name in them (with some videos with him and the name in title and description may be)… Be creative and put up enough web properties to fill the first page

How do i go about contacting websites to place a positive article about him? Do i search for websites that post political stuff? How do i know if they rank high? Any tips about that.

Besides the social media accounts with his name, you could also create articles on some platforms with very high authority: google-sites, imgur, medium, vimeo have so much authority that you could create optimized contents on, build some good backlinks even the hard way, and have your pages ranking higher than the bad article.

Getting a personal Wikipedia page is a very difficult task. (or very expensive)

It will be much easier to create a personal website with extensive articles about this person.
And to build links to that website.
And then link out to your social accounts from that website.

BTW, if that article isn't truth, you can ask their hosting provider to take down that website. Because they can easily get sued for defamation

I dont think its an article that can be classified as not the truth. Its politics, i think he slipped with a certain discussion and he got attacked by it.

Is that true? I thought starting a wikipedia page wasnt that hard. Gonna see what i can find about it.

personal website i will make for him. Should i buy backlinks? Is that something that will help?
