Unfortunately method don't work anymore on kindle, at least from the test I carried out.

The rate system is changed now, so even after the free days you don't get any reviews and the book slowly dies , even if it had 1-5 sales and some KENP pages read.
Not yet sure how to handle the "hype" around the book to not get it dead.

There's no problem if your book is at least 70% unique ,they get published in this case in 3-6 hours.

You can find great recipes on forums, where people discuss their new recipes, new ingredients, …

Kindle is one of the easiest way to make money online if u ask me. Recipe books, even though they are freely available on the net, sells like 5 dollar whores and this is something we can take advantage of! If you create your own covers this method is totally free except for your time investment and my best month with this method netted me $2500...

STEP 1: Find recipe niche and gather recipes from popular sites
STEP 2: Run the recipes true http://phylix.com/products/spin/index.php and paste them into WORD
STEP 3: Make your cover on photoshop or https://pixlr.com/ (free)
STEP 4: Upload to Kindle, price @2.99 and make sure to put your book in good high traffic categories

Now you will pass Amazon's screening process and they will approve your book. Occasionaly costumers will report your book as duplicate and it will be blocked but just keep uploading books and money will grow. This obviously works with other niches as well... Be smart and creative and you have yourself a nice recurring $$$
