Anyone know why it might be taking so long for my site to get indexed? it has about 12 pages, and several posts. I have submitted to atleast 15 social bookmark sites, and left probably over 25 .edu blog comments and even a couple .govs. It's been about 2 weeks and still no index. I am also using google sitemaps for wordpress so that site has been crawled several times already. In fact google bot has hit my page over 40 times already.

If you get any results, then you're indexed.

If not, a quick way i use to get indexed is tossing my links into a document an uploading it to scribd.

I've had the same situation in the past with a web 2.0 property I used for a linkwheel. I linked to it in my wheel, pinged it, ran BMD on it, and submitted probably 100 manual backlinks. After two months if it not being indexed I gave up. Eventually, a few months later, I noticed G finally decided to include it.

i hope it doesnt take that long lol

Just a heads up that I did all the same things you described and it still took my site almost 4 weeks to get indexed. I would keep building backlinks and it should be indexed soon mate.

Thats weird. I had my old site indexed within a couple days. Actually almost immediately.

That was using things such as google sitemap, digg, youtube and a couple other high authority sites.

Just wait a couple more weeks

I used to be able get indexed with mins. Lately now, I can't indexed for anything last few sites i've made it's taken over 2+ weeks to get indexed now another few sites i've made are taking about a month to get indexed and i've done everything I can think of.

Same here. I have hundreds of sites that I can get it indexed within hours. Now, all my new sites are taking DAYS and some weeks to get indexed. I'm sure that there is something new going on with Google....

Googles updating to google caffeine, its slowing down the index process

I never really had problems getting a site indexed. Typically what I would do is post on Digg, submit site to google, link it to a forum post somewhere.

Also, I found this on this forum somewhere. I turned it into a batch file for myself. Simply copy and paste this into a notepad file and save as new_file.bat. Just execute the batch file after you have put your website in place and then voila.

When's the last time you got a new site indexed, Suprafast? I think the point people are making is that recently indexing is taking longer.

Within the past 3 weeks i purchased a domain and had it indexed within a week

Ok guys. Here's an update to why my new sites are slow in indexing in search engines.

Check all of your Wordpress 2.8.4 blogs, make sure that the privacy settings is not set to block search engines.

All new wordpress 2.8.4 installations via Fantastico are set to a default no-index setting.

If you want to know more about this, check this thread:

Good luck

type site:domain.com at yahoo site explorer, u will notice the indexed. if google does not means, then u r considered spam.
