SubDomains vs SubFolders

Hi there, i'm looking for advice about subdomains and subfolders.

I have a WP website (blog) about reviews and i want to add blog (for general posts) to it.

I'm using SILO structure and i have my categories in the URL.

I'm wondering which one of the below 3 options to use.

1. Just renaming the default "uncategorized" category in WP to "Blog".

2. Installing WordPress on Subfolder in my domain.

3. Installing WordPress on Subdomain.

Which one do you guys think is the best one in terms of getting link juice for the domain in general.

Do NOT use subdomain. When you do linkbuilding if you use subdomain you spread juice over 2 domains (main and subdomain) instead of beefing up one.

that has to do with website architecture. I don't know exactly what you're trying to achieve. Is best to install WP in a subfolder because then you can have categories as opposed to renaming uncategorized to blog

If its my site, i will choose option 2 - Installing WordPress on Subfolder in my domain.
