It's a new account every day. If post count were the goal, it would be just as easy to have the bot post random basic SEO questions.
Since it's a bot doing the posting, the cost-benefit ratio is extremely heavily skewed in the spammer's favor. The cost to add BHW to the bot's forum list is virtually zero, so even one conversion a year would be pure profit.
This forum have SEO power. Posting an article at BHW can sky rocket your post on google page 1, doing nothing but providing quality (or even low) content.
You don't have to use related forum to rank, but you have to use powerful source, BHW is surely one.
You can always edit your post later if survive. That is the only purpose of posting this crap, trying to affect SEO, but done miserable.
You can't do this on BHW never, plus you must try manually, no bots.

Moreover there are lots of people who have superstitious beliefs so anyway he would benefit from it offline.

It gets removed quite quickly so shouldn't think to much of it. It's a big, popular site so attractive to spammers, pointless really

The actual sign up form wouldn't have that much of an impact. Could easily just get a VA to make the accounts and then once you have the credentials, pass them into a bot.
Better solutions would be to:
- Throttle number of posts per minute/hour/whatever for accounts under a certain post count and/or;
- Write a REGEX/whatever to automatically remove/detect posts that include phone numbers or similar, when posted by accounts with a post threshhold under a certain level
The goal is to rank in the featured snippet in the SERPs. Which is why the spam is almost always a phone number.

Thats what happens when you skip classes. Bots without context = dead spam.
This is can be a good idea. Block potential CTAs for fresh posters - should be very discouraging for spammers.
