Facebook deleted my Page and doesn't justify

So, this situation happened to me last week.

I have merged 2 pages with similar names and content. The merge was accepted and the process started. Right after that, I got a block message in my page with an option to appeal.

Few hours after that, both pages completely disappeared from my profile and I didn’t receive a reply for my appeal.

I found a way to contact Facebook and the guy replied me:

I took the time to analyse your request and I can't find any Facebook Page with those username, could you provide me the URL of those Page so I can make a request to merge those Pages ?

How ridiculous could this be?

Have you experienced something like this before? If so, could you solve the issue?

No, both pages mantained their original names.

Basically, the biggest one was named "[Word]" and the other was named "[Word] for Women". This one was relatively inactive but had a good number of likes, so I decided to merge them...

"[Word] for Women" is different from "[Word] " that explain why they banned your merged page , i had a similar issue 2 years ago so im pretty sure that's the cause.

Moreover, the staff replyed to my request :

The approval team checked.
Your Pages have been unpublished for having engaged with people in a malicious and misleading way, such as merging Pages that are not related to each other, changing the names of the Pages, etc.... The rules of our Pages say that "We only proceed with name changes and mergers that are not misleading". All Pages must comply with Facebook rules.

So why did they accept the merge!? Normally, if the names are too different they don't accept the merge. Their content was the same, I can't understand.

And I have seen cases in which page names were absolutely different and they were merged.

It doesn't make sense at all. If the names were too different, the merge would be blocked from the beginning. But the merging process started right after I asked for it!

Yes some pages are not deleted, others yes. Facebook is crazy, that's a fact. You can try to appeal, i hope a positive issue for you.

I understand they need to have some automated systems to deal with certain kind of problems because they have millions of users. But they should also have alternative ways to judge a decision like this one. FB basically does whatever they want...

Yes, I found a way to contact them using the Facebook Ads Customer Service (that's definitely the only way to speed up these cases).

Explain your situation carefully, say that no one replies to your appeals using the right forms and they might forward your question to the proper team.
