Hi,

So I'm in the affiliate world and I've realized that some competitors are creating websites with no silo, like this:

website.com/best-tv
website.com/best-4k-tv
website.com/best-led-tv
website.com/best-vacuum-cleaner
website.com/best-steam-iron

So the thing is, they do 1 page per product and don't do any supporting articles for these pages.

From what I've learned, for SEO purposes it is better to do:

website.com/best-tv
website.com/best-tv/4k
website.com/best-tv/led
etc...

What is your opinion ? Is it better not to silo sometimes ?

Having a silo is quite an unavoidable thing to do, most websites have a link back to the homepage somewhere. It's doesn't really have anything to do with the URL structure.

What I mean is, some people just make a "best of" page for every product while others make supporting articles for each of these pages.

Supporting articles always help, but your original post seems to be about URL structure, which doesnt really matter

you have to do keyword reasearch then do online front page links and articles and then internal links in the order likewhat you done to increase keyword popuality thu the url .

links

cat ----- main niche name
cat food --- sub niche name
cat toys ---- sub niche name
cat pictures ---- sub niche name

dog ------ main niche
dog toys --- sub niche
dog food ----
dog picture ---

rat
rat toys
rat picture

tiger
tigure picture

on your website your have articles of the main keyword .

example

cat , dog , rat tiger

the sub keywords links usally use a drop down method , so sub keywords are seen when main keyword link is pressed .

500 worded articel of each , mrntion the sub niche link keywords also add there intenal link's in the article

on the top of every article add 1 internal link to the sub page .

cat food
page ...

cat toys
page ....

cat pictures
page......

write a article to every page .

dont forget this is a example , your need to find the correct link names via the longtail to be indexed .

all pages need to be seo optimized .

good luck.

always good to silo, just don't link from one silo to another.
