Not looking for pity. Hoping someone can either learn from my mistake or give some solid advice.

I got started because of a guide on here and another subreddit I'm part of. I used flippa.com and empireflippers 'sold' listings as a way to get some ideas about a niche. I found one I liked and started writing - what I believe to be - high quality review posts.

I read through tons of reviews on Amazon about products, emailed manufacturers and brands and even scored a backlink with one. I have about 6 articles and 1 info post totaling 15k words.

My keywords have really low backlink profile based on ahrefs KD metric. It's usually lower than 8.

I know it's not a ton of content but I don't have a single conversion. In almost two months, I have less than 10 clicks on my affiliate links.

- Keep on adding more content on regular basis.
- Subscribe to google trends on forum and blog posts on your topic. and reply to those blogs with your link, and comment on blogs with your link.
- Sign up and Subscribe to Quora on your topic. Whenever you see a question on the topic asked, go to a foreign language website. spanish, on your website topic copy the article, translated it to english, and post it as an answer to the Question, with source link as your website. Google is ranking quora links very high these days, even though quora is full of indian spammers copying answers from other blogs.
- Sign up to reddit, post your articles as answer to the question in your website topic subreddit.
- Search twitter, post your website link as reply to questions or tweets related to post of your website.
- Create youtube videos from articles of your website. Use Lumen for that. I use lumen free, and then use an online video clipper to remove their logo from the end of the video. Share thsoe vids on facebook, reddit etc.
- Create fake instagram accounts, put your website in website field with some description. Use cracked bots like ninjagram shared in download section and start auto following people.
- Post pictures to pinterest. Follow loads of pintrest people. Its full of dumb ladies.
You just can't wait for google to rank up your website, you need to be very involved in the marketing.

These methods will give you direct traffic as well as improve your ranking further on Google.

Thanks for the reality check. Waiting for google to rank me exactly what I was hoping for. I need to do more legwork, period or expect no results. Appreciate that.

were you ranking on your main keyword?

Since you are writing for yourself, try guest blogging on similar blogs. You dont have to write on entirely new ideas, little thematic variation should do. But its a slow process. Be consistent.

Guest posting sounds like an awesome idea. Yesterday I sent a handful of personalized guest post request by googling my niche + guest post. I haven't got a response yet but I'll definitely keep chugging along. Being consistent is admittedly tough. I lose motivation and then it sprouts back up full force. Good advice. Thanks.

OP, don't listen to people that advice to write more content.

No need to write LOT of content. You just need to write a couple high quality contents.

Then start to promote those articles heavily.

That's a better approach.

This is solid advice and in align with my current belief in content marketing. I'm really focused on dishing out valuable content but then I look at my competitors posts and think to myself... maybe I should just babble. When I write content, I go pretty far to find good information. I.e contact manufacturers, customer service, experts in the field, etc... Many of them don't respond but I try anyway.

My next step is to someone generalize my niche into shareable content on facebook. Let's say I was reviewing power washers. It's tough to get people to share about the top 5 power washers, but maybe I could write about how clean patio can lead to a better family life. Just an idea. Thanks phoenix9.
