I just can't figure out how does this site (cns29508.hostwindsdns.com) rank a 200k/month keyword (gta 5 apk) without any backlinks..

I check top 100 SERP for this keyword, and did not find even one PBN, I highly doubt whether this site use different techniques to rank, anyone has any clue, it's really worth to find out the method used.

Optimized content and landing page most probably with a few hidden PBN links.

Optimized content? a site with only two pages is not optimized at all.
As I mentioned, I can't find any PBN from top 100 SERP, unless you can point one there, don't conclude something you are not certain.

Also did not find any PBN links, but found a video with thousands of views, 1k likes, hundreds of comments linking to it : youtube.com/watch?v=eh6yjoelDvo
Also there's a EMD copy of this site - apkgta5.com that has more backlinks. Also it has all pages blocked in robots.txt
But still it's weird.
Would love to read suggestions also.

how to find backlinks of competitor who blocked afref and majestic bot ?

The easiest way to determine if they do have pbn links or hidden links, is find a backlink checker that uses none popular results.

A company I use for a full service dashboard, has a audit section that makes a full SEO report.

It shows the hidden links a website would use. It does take much longer then just a simple check with the popular tools.

Just because you can't see PBN links, doesn't mean there aren't any :)
This is the right answer, you can block robots from crawling your site (specifically the robots from backlink tools such as ahrefs, moz, majestic) to avoid your backlinks being detected by the competitors and just allowing certain seach engines to count them (google, yahoo, bing, etc..)

Excellent use of google, and for the people asking if this is the way he verifies backlinks, this is one of the best ways to do it, see what backlinks Google is able to "show and see".

ahh that website's ranking for a high competition keyword and i don't see the obvious reason because all i know about seo is how to do things instead of actually understanding information retrieval and mathematical algorithms behind search engines...must just be hidden PBN links!

think about it, there only thu ways to get backlinks .

so it defently pbn for sure.

so what they got .

good optimized page with good content and a shit load of hidden pbn .

but there being clever using a video to also get traffic so google thinks there traffic all from a diffrent url and video.

guess what else they got.

success and hopefully loads of cash, i am happy to see some one getting it right.

Even ahrefs shows 30 RDs for this website?

Blocking bots on YOUR website doesnt help you at all for that - this way bots cannot see your outbound links, but they CAN see the links pointing at your website.

Sorry I expressed myself wrong, if you block the robots in your sites AND you are ranking with a PBN your backlinks won't be shown and most people will be unable to see the origin of your rankings.

Not true. You can hide pbn links pointing at your site.
