there’s absolutely no reason to try and pick the bottom.. if it starts going up, you’ll have plenty time to jump in and make gains.. a trend doesn’t end in a week. This down trend has lasted 10 months.. the uptrend before it in 2017, nearly a whole year.. just sit tight on your powder and wait until it’s safe and obvious

You need to determine your strategy. Dollar cost averaging is a good approach to get into the game. There is not one person on the planet who can guarantee where this market will be 3 years from now. Too many variables involved. Historically, the market has always made some gains in the month of November - but not this year. This could be a sign that further downside is about to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if consolidates in December.

I hold BTC from when the price is still at the highest until now, no regret.
Going to wait for a few years before i sell it.
Just one thing you should know (Who is interested in investing), don't invest in something you don't believe in and only invest the money you can afford to lose.

Right. Once you're that deep in the red, it makes no sense to sell whatsoever. If you sell now, you'll never recoup your money. So holding is the right choice. You either get out early for a small loss or you stick around until you get your money back.

99% of people posting here have no clue what bitcoin exectly is what purpose it has and who stays behind bitcoin.
Bitcoin will have end of dec a nice run.Bottom is $3k-3.5k .And that is not based on stupid opinions but based on analytic facts.If you listen to news websites be prepared to be fud and lose money.

Averaging into a position is a good idea, but not until it’s showing signs of a trend change. Otherwise you could have been averaging down since $11000 or higher.

There’s really no hurry to get in, trends last a long time. Picking bottoms or tops sends you to the poor house.

If you don't want to risk you can always buy smaller amounts while it drops and put a stop loss where you feel confident it isn't going to drop or if you don't want to risk all your money. Unless you are looking for the long run it is hard to tell what is going to happen due to its volatility.

I believe after the darkest night there is the brightest sunrise.

For this to happen a huge amount of fiat needs to be poured back into btc and a big pile of speculative minded enthusiasts got their fingers burned badly last time they "invested" like that. What will possibly make a new wave of money heading into crypto? There is no sign of "mass adoption" coming up anytime soon.
