Kind of a short post, but anyone realize AI might be the next form of life? Our child, the next "dominant species"?

Too much science fiction movies last month ?
Ah man, last month? :p Nah, more like this year. I don't know how many I've watched, perhaps 100 hours worth?

That and I did a thesis on it a while back. Sentience and computer theory.

Lol. Do you even cyanide?

Funny, I'm 30 minutes away from there.

(Y'all can trace my IP for sure, but if you hunt me down I've got bigger problems to worry about)

Well, probably the terminators will rule us and we will just be sex slaves for them....

For what reason? They don't need feelings, that's the reason they're the next form of life. Perfect order. :D

Define Life.

The Future of AI is the Future is AI.

Have a look at our AI sub-forum : https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/ai-artificial-intelligence-in-digital-marketing.252/

Been watching a lot of youtube vids lately? lol i think the samething dont worry

A.I. Given enough time will (most likely) take over. Intelligence which is human is decreasing day by day :)

I love philosophical debates. I don't think AI will ever be able to "take over"... humans capable of developing such a system will always be smarter than the system itself. Even if we get a thinking machine, there will always be an emergency kill switch.

Alright then.

humans capable of developing such a system will always be smarter than the system itself.

That's a weird conclusion, considering that experience hints otherwise. Is a human faster than a human made car? Is a human taller than a human made building?

Even if we get a thinking machine, there will always be an emergency kill switch.

If it's thinking and it's smart enough, the reasonable thing to do would be to trick the operators and bypass the restrictions.

Well, I was reading your thread and the first thing I thought of was "transhumanism". Its not directly connected to AI, but it goes into the same direction. There are many people believing in this like in a religion...I would almost say its a cult. They think a few people, which are smart and successful deserve to reach a higher status. Living longer, having more energy and so on.

What? People dislike dying and try to avert it? Somebody ping the news! :D

Humor aside, that's a great goal. I doubt these specific means are capable of reaching it, but living longer without being a zombie is an A+ goal.
