[Journey] Reselling Services

Hi all!

I decided to make a thread for my new side project – reselling services! So far, I've only been into affiliate marketing. Selling something myself is completely new to me. I'll write about my progress to keep myself accountable.

The main reason why I started this project is because I found some service related keywords that I think I should be able to rank for. Also, I found suppliers that provide these services at around 50% to 70% of the usual sales price. Of course, if this is going to work, I'll eventually train my own VAs to deliver the services that I offer.

I'm currently working on adding new services to the website, once I've got around 4 I'll create some blogposts around it.

But as I just moved to https, I'll wait a couple of days with my next steps.

My goal is to test if I can make this work. And learn as much as I can along the way. I don't feel the need to quantify that in an amount of money or a specific time frame.

Sounds good man. I was just curious. That may even be the best way to make sure you don't get disappointed if you happen to set that goal way to high and not be able to make it. I have faith in you though.

It won't be long and you will be making sells every single day. You just have to keep consistent which I am sure you already know!

Just a quick update about the content creation: Currently, I have three sales pages live and I plan to add another one soon. Also, I already researched the outlines for a few blog posts which I plan to add over the next two weeks. The transition from http to https went smoothly.

After that I'll start building links or buying link building services. Haven't decided on the strategy yet. If anyone has some suggestions, please let me know.

I've researched quite a few buying keywords that I'd like to rank for in long term. I deceided to start with four of them – the ones that have the lowest search competition. As most of the time, the ones with low competition are the ones with low search volume. The average of those four keywords is around 600. As I target more buying keywords, this will increase.

Alright, my first four sales pages are up. Right now, I'm waiting for a few more blogposts that I want to publish over the next weeks.

Here's a quick update about my rankings:

As I'm not really sure about the best way to start building backlinks, I'll just throw some links from the market place at it and see how it goes.

I plan to start pretty low key and just add a few social signals this week before I buy some blog comments next week. After that maybe some Web 2.0. We will see. If someone has any recommendation, let me know.

By the way, is there a way to align the images to the left?

Just a quick update, almost one week later. All content that I wanted to start out with is placed on the website: 6 articles and 4 landing pages. Still need to optimize the homepage though.

I ordered a few social signals and niche related blog comments for the landing pages and got the fourth indexed as well. Still waiting for the reports from the sellers.

I've been looking at a lot of websites from competitiors to get a better feel for the niche and to scout for ideas that I can implement myself. I also found a few new kewords that I can target once I decide to roll out new landing pages.

One thing that I noticed is that occasionally, a Quora answer pops up on the SERP for some of my kewords. So I deceided to hand four Quora questions from the SERP to my writer to formulate 250-word answers for them. I'll use an old account of mine to place the answers, wait a few days, add the links to my landing pages, wait some more days and upvote the answer to the top spot. Maybe I can grab some traffic with that (in addition to a no-follow backlink).

Here's an update about my rankings:

Still trying to push my keywords to the first page. So far I went pretty low key, added some social signals to all of the pages, ordered some blogposts and some days ago I ordered the smallest lady gaga package (only for the top keyword that lost two positions). If anyone recommends any service in particular, let me know.

Good news: made a sale today.

Just a quck update about December: Even though I still didn't manage to push my keywords to the first page on Googe, I received some orders. I made $80 in total, a little less than $50 profit. It's not too much but still something as this is only the second month the website is live. Let's hope, I can expand on this!

This week I receved four orders, which is more than ever before. Even though my keywords dropped in ranking, I receive more traffic – mainly because of my Quora strategy. But it's still too earily to show screenshots. Right now, I receive the same amount of traffic from SERP and Quora.
