Hi everyone,

Long time lurker on this forum, big thanks to everyone who contributes.

I will try my best to keep this as short as I can.

I am interested in creating a directory website for the Aviation industry in my country. I have the following features in mind and I am having trouble to determine the best business model for this.

- Directory for flight schools, training organizations, aircraft hire and relevant industry services.
- Blog posts + news section.
- Classified ads (Planes, parts, student pilot materials etc).

Can anyone suggest anything more?

Should I keep it to just premium listings?

I am visioning this to be the go-to Aviation site for information and purchases. I also want to gain as much money as possible, I think there is a lot of money to be made as it is obviously an affluent industry and there isn't any other websites/businesses offering this type of service.

A massive thanks in advance to your replies.

Adam.

My suggestion is, if you can afford paying a few hundreds, get a customized script done for you by a reputed developer/company.
All the ready-made directory scripts found on the market sucks. Also, being unique will help a lot in marketing.

If you want to go the Wordpress route that's another story, there are better offerings and many customization options for both design and features.

As for the strategy, I would go with premium listings and a blog.
And @https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/blogzandstuff.834360/ forum tip is great.
