They are using "machine-learning" jeez I wonder how many more bugs in their system this will create
I wouldn't say he underestimates them, but there are already ton of bugs and with this updates they will only add on.Don't underestimate AI. In fact this tech is already quite established for facial recognition with accuracy up to 90%. You will be surprised how fast and accurate AI can close any loopholes or flaws in system, much faster than any human beings.

How to deal with those guys sending me fake likes. How to protect my accounts? How IG will spot if thats me or someone else hurting me?This will change very little. Never bot on accounts you can't risk losing. Never buy likes/followers. Simple.
It was only a matter of time. As someone mentioned above, they've been had ai to combat bot detection, and spam.. but as with any machine, it has flawss.. so while it works to a certain extent.. it also affects normal users since it's not perfect. People doing automation aren't the only people who have been receiving phone and email verifications, and unwarranted bans.. which goes to show its a continuous work in progress.
Why would someone send you fake likes..? Besides all they'll do is remove the likes.hurting

And the fake followers and likes they're referring to are the ones bought from panels, which isn't really hard to detect as its not really normal for you to receive 5k followers in a matter of minutes, same as likes.. especially when your account isn't normally receiving this type of action. The accounts used to give the fake follows and likes, will just have to perform more regular actions and people will have to recieve their followers and likes with drip feed to look more natural.. which honestly, they should of been doing from the start.
And where you plan to buy the likes once they start banning and deleting accounts who deliver likes in first place.. For the last 1 year ig likes were not stable every 15-20 days there are some problems with delivery on almost all panels. I think that they will also target automatition tools and accounts who are doing follow-unfollow. There is big money in this industry and ofcourse people will try to find solutions, some providers will survive and continue providing these services but it will be very expensive.1. Buy a bunch of likes to competitor account
2. Instagram makes them change their password
3. Repeat x100 on drip-feed.
4. Competitor can't get into account.
5. Repeat
Instagram would be better brushing it off and forgetting about it IMO.

People who use these types of apps share their username and password, and their accounts are sometimes used by third-party apps for inauthentic likes, follows and comments. Not only does this introduce bad behavior into the Instagram community, it also makes these accounts less secure.
