Hi mates.

Came across some expired domain names with metrics like TF= 3 and CF=12. I want to know if it's advisable to register these types of domain names if the backlink is clean? Read somewhere that CF/TF ratio should not be more than 1. You take on this subject is highly welcome.

TF/CF ratio is completely useless, really don't bother with that. Majestic sometimes doesn't count into overall TF some pretty good links, but that doesn't happen that often, so even TF3 domains can be worth your time. Then again, it depends on how many domains you scrape, check and so on. It's up to you to pick the best filter options to dig through the mud.

Here is a strategy that I have been using.

1) Find expired domains that are in youtube video descriptions
2) Either build out a site or just do an affiliate link redirect
3) Add a comment to a youtube video with your new domain in it
4) Watch one of the videos with that domain fully

This is built in traffic and you do not have to worry about metrics.
