Why do people reject good guest posts?

Most webmasters (and owners) with high ranking websites wouldn't accept guest post that links to another domain.

Promoted content is a huge industry, contextual backlinks price are peaking.

But, I do accept high quality guest posts that can contribute to my site without backlinks, or 1 nofollow URL. Depends on the subject, quality and the reason for the guest post.

Promoted content is for marketing purposes, SEO, affiliate, and so on..

I don't accept free or paid guest posts because I'm afraid the buyer would try and build backlinks to the page. The last thing I need is some dude shit blasting my site with $1 PBN links. It's just not worth the $50/100/250 or whatever I would charge to publish the post.

Never heard of it. When I browse the site, it has a mass collection of books, software, movies... How will this help me to get content?

Type in keyword you want an article on > copy domain and see if still live or expired > If expired, search the domain history and see if there is an article that fits > copyscape found article > if not used, add it to your site. Same for images. Job done.

archive.org = snapshots of websites over TIME. You can find pretty much anything you need.

To my mind, such sites not want to lose their DR and DA. But as said previous members: it doesn't work in such way... depends on situation

Probably they dislike the idea of having someone post a link on their site about a certain offer, besides a good quality guess post you could as well offer something in return like a freebie they may find useful in their business model or a commission on sales coming from their site.

One of the reasons is because they get numerous guest post requests daily and simply don't have enough time to read and process those requests.

People have different ideas about what good content is. I have people outreach to me some times offering their 'good quality content'. It's always weak content. People want a link, but they don't want to give exceptional content in exchange because its difficult and expensive tio scale.

And then you have the site owners who are quite happy to accept you content, but they will charge. Because its how they make money for their blog. This is very common now and its only a matter of time before the hammer falls. I expect mass deindexations of people openly selling guest posts on their website at some point because Google have warned about this before and its very easy for them to target. And all the 'administration cost' etc excuses wont cut it.

If you accept a guest post, you should charge money or be so big that crappy backlinks will not affect you. Even if the content is decent, most small sites will be negatively affected by the backlink building that goes along with guest posting.

I guest post, but would never accept a guest post on any of my serious sites.

Like for real, why do you reject a guest post?

I personally do think guest posts are just a free filler content for your website.
I see people rejecting them if not paid.

If the article provided has good quality and related to your niche, I personally believe that guest posts only have a positive impact on a site.

Offering 1 or 2 external links won't hurt your site. Yoast thinks it is good. Combine with additional wikipedia link and 2 or 3 internal thinks, you are good to go.

I have a 2-month site with MOZ DA of 8. Is accepting good quality guest posts a good idea?

People reject guest posts because they are out to make money and they often get enough requests for sponsored posts that are relevant and high quality. I think you should accept quality guest posts and try and attract sponsored posts after your site's DA score reaches 20
