Lots of ways to drive traffic, equal to any other site. Biggest difference is, if you want to rank in the SERPs you'll need some SERIOUS backlinks, and some serious Google love.

Sooner or later adsense ban such sites and they come screaming on forums asking why they get banned.
This guy has been copying and pasting articles for 10+ years and still has adsense (removed)
