Noob question: VMware or Virtual box to prevent IP leak?

Read somewhere that Vmware can't configure proxy directly or natively, not sure where or if it was for a previous Vmware version, but is it true and if so is it possible with Virtual Box? Need to be sure that IP won't leak and I'm not an expert in configuring networks.

Are there any tools to double check IP is not leakable?

You can use proxifier to proxify entire virtualbox and it will not leak IP
