Just saw this referral link in one of the social media about Q initiative.

Its supposed to be a new crypto like system developed ex-paypal guys. Any insights ? Does it look legit ?

And they are giving free 5000 coins for just signing up.

this is all over my feed on facebook, seems like a nice way to get email opt ins .)

I would not call it a scam, they do not demand anything from you. Worst case scenario they abuse your info.

I would rather call the project irrationally ambitious, as they estimate their coins to be worth $1 each, which would give the currency a market cap of 1 trillion (10x Bitcoin).

If you are lucky the tokens might be worth a few dollars in a few years, but don't expect tens of thousands like the project wants you to believe.

Still, gotta appaud them for the genious marketing though, this thing is spreading like a god damn virus.

it's nothing, as other said, if this will go somewhere, this will give you a couple of bucks in some years. But will even leave you a feel of a missed opportunity. Nice marketing, nice mailing list

Tons of spammers dropping their affiliate links all over the place.

Crypto folks who've neve done affiliate marketing have no idea what they're doing. Amateur affiliates blasting links everywhere.
