On Pinboard and Onenote, I didn't post links to the other properties.
I posted links to the $ pages I'm trying to rank.

But I could've posted links to the other sites. One advantage of posting the ~20 property links on each of the 20 sites is that we don't know which site Google will index first. If the whole list is on all sites, then it doesn't matter which gets indexed first, because it the first to get indexed will tell Google about the other properties.

So let's say Blogger gets indexed first since it's a Google entity. It would be good to have all your links on Blogger. On its own, Blogger (PA 1) sucks. But if indexed, it can tell Google about other more powerful properties--properties which carry a link to your $ site.

ifft allows you to connect other web 2.0 to update and post the info on auto, to all web 2.0 conbected to yoyr ifft project...

Each of the twenty or so properties would require its own guide.
You really need to watch the two courses, at least once.
Watch the version 1 and 2 courses.

There are 93 videos in the original course.
There are 106 videos in the version 2 course.

Each course--version 1 and version 2--is a series of videos comprising hours of somewhat technical content. Together, the courses are 17 GB. Unfortunately, throughout the course, Benner, the teacher, spends half the time saying,

"Oh wait, actually don't do that, even though I just spent 5 minutes teaching you to do that... this site has changed since I did this before... instead click here and then go here and when your at this point do that and then this and see this thing? Click that, and go back to where we were..."

He doesn't use his words very well, and he doesn't even have that screencast program that puts a red target circle around his mouse cursor. In short, hard to follow. And not because the content itself is challenging. The teacher just sucks.

Furthermore, each course lacks something that the other course addressed, which is why you need to watch both.

Wow. So this is really being offered as a service now. This must really be working then.

1 Brand Ring, 3 Persona rings.
Once money site post a content, the branded ring will share it. After brand ring shares it, the 3 persona rings will share the content too. All these rings are being created the same way, except that when you register an account you'll do like a brand e.g Awesome Gaming(for First and Last name).

P.S.
I'm doing 4 branded rings where I could syndicate/share my contents from a money site. Each ring got around 20 properties, a combination of google properties, web 2.0s, social sites and bookmarking sites. There's a lot more to add though.

Do consider, that those 4 rings in total will serve as a Tier 1 backlink to your money site. So if the properties where the links are being shared to got a good PA, then the better.

Also found out that properties with seed content linking to high authority sites gets indexed faster rather than those that are plain properties created with no content at all.

To add, just like what you do in real web2.0s and other properties, it would be better if you are to add some pages for about us, privacy policy and stuff(will add these to mine). This would in a way guarantee that those properties will not be deleted. In addition, properties created with a temp email may not last long(based on one of the sources here in bhw).

So I guess that's pretty much it. You got a money site, contents are being shared to a different website/property. Only difference is that those properties got "rings" where your contents are being shared as well.

Both Medium and About give you DF links (not no-follow).

Medium gives you a follow link on your profile page... medium dot com/@youruserame
That is where you can put a DF link on Medium.

About gives you 7 DF links. On your About profile...About dot me/yourusername,
there is your main photo, under which is a button link (NF).

Under that is your little bio.
Under the little bio are seven places (buttons) for your DF links.

I think people are using this to rank videos (in google) and GMBs (though I'm not sure how to rank a GMB with this...whether to use the website as the target or the map link as the target). Not their money sites.

I was just about to say that I've noticed no benefit.
But I checked in an incognito window and compared to my rankings before.

I fired off the first domino a bit over a month ago (40 days ago), at the very end of September.
I did ONLY a brand ring, then I started tipping over dominos.
Considering the work involved in creating these rings,
I wanted to see whether a brand ring alone might be enough to move the needle given the KW difficulty (fairly low) for my keywords.

I could be wrong, but anything but a dramatic ranking increase/decrease doesn't tell much.
There are so many variables that have nothing to do with your own work.
For example, all of your competitors are also doing stuff or not doing stuff, and their ranking affects your ranking.

I used this for a dozen videos with a dozen KWs. On most of the sites in the rings, the YT vids were embedded. Occasionally I used a text link.

For one keyword, volume 500 searches/month, my YT video had ranked 2nd to last (2nd from right) in the carousel in Google search.
Now it ranks 3rd from the left (#3 in carousel).
Same video, same KW, ranked #11 in google video search. Now it ranks #4 in ggl vid search.

For a different KW and video, volume 200/mo, my video had ranked #62 in ggl vid search and did not appear in carousel (this surprises me but I think this is true, since I did not mention the carousel in my notes and I would have).
Now my vid ranks #7 in ggl vid search, and is #6 in the carousel.

40 days ago, some KW searches had resulted in a carousel with 2 or 3 of my own videos in the carousel,
and now there are none of my videos in the carousel.

I repeat, I used one brand ring and no personas.

With all the work it took to flesh out my brand ring properties, I felt that there was a good chance that would be enough to let me know whether to proceed.
I do now have four personas, but they are not yet fully interlinked, and they are not set up with triggers in IFTTT.

My original motivation came from wanting to rank YT videos.
But I now understand that this doesn't really accomplish anything within YT search.
When someone said it was "good for ranking videos," he meant ranking videos in google search.
Even that would be great if it worked like a charm.
So I lost a great deal of my motivation.

My secondary motivation was to rank GMBs.
I've since ranked my most important GMB in position #1 or #2 without IFTTT,
and I've recently got a second GMB city and working on that.
Not really sure how this could be used for a GMB though.
