Shopping Cart Site

I have an old domain that I want to start selling products from a shopping cart software on the site. What is the best way to get traffic to a site like this? I know niches will differ, but would it work very well to:
-write a presale type page
-link the page to the product
-optimize the page and rank it in the SE
-user buys product from the product page?

I don't know, but that is the best way I can think of.

All this in addition to what you have suggested. Takes a while but the results are tried and true. Back links are where its at!

Hello friend, i am want to make a shopping card site too. I'll just develop a website when people can find stuffs and iformation like sports, tech, or any other think. The important point is just be sure the people who want to read your content can be a potential customer to buy your products. SEO and linking also are very important stuff to do, good luck.
