Using Linkedin advertising to find clients

I know Linkedin ads are super expensive but the audience that they target is so concentrated that I'm starting to seriously consider this option.

Has anyone tried this? Do you think it's better to target people in charge of marketing in companies or marketing agencies that outsource to freelance writers?

Maybe my experience will help you out here.
Sponsored InMail Ads are the worst by far. They allow you to target an audience, but nobody really bothers to read it because they're so used to getting them. On top of that, you'll just show up with your account name instead of business name, and if the people who received your InMail Ad weren't even in your contact list, it's even worse.

Sponsored Content Ads work well, they pop up in the timeline when someone scrolls down. It's basically what I found to be the most useful.
They're very similar to Facebook Ads in that sense, because you can choose the headline, text, the website it links to and the image.
For instance:

In terms of cost, they are EXPENSIVE. Although not that expensive.
If your average CPC on AdWords is $2.56, then it will be $12.88 on LinkedIn.
Hope that's somewhat helpful.

Have you ever tried LinkedIn Sales Navigator ? i'm sure that i read somewhere that you can actually get personal emails (not inMails) from users using it.
Maybe it's far better than targeted ads.

Oooh, so that's what it is. Explains all those emails in my mailbox.
Haven't tried it myself, but it definitely sounds like it's worth a shot.

I had 2 campaigns before 1 week .This is my experience.
The ads its self is expensive.Average is 4$.
I had 2 campaign.
first one where I spend about 60$ I get 18 hot leads.
On second one I spend about 40$ and did not get anything.
Overall i spend 100$ but get about 8k worth deals.
I got a feeling that just first campaign on new premium user only works.After that linkedin just dry your money.I still look over results to estabslih what the heck happened and to crack it.

I think that ads on Linkedin are very expensive. If you are inexperienced with this kind of advertisements, it might be better option to hire some freelancers or other people whose major job is to make this kind of advertisements. Might be a better used money
