I bought an expired domain and published an article September, it's indexed but not ranking it's like 400 or something. so I want to use that article on another site, So how long should I wait before the article is de-indexed and safe to use?

I guess the expired domain I used wasn't any good Meh

If we are talking about google search results. Benefit will be for site with best authority, and google will pick him as canonical. So if the new site is better in auth then the other ( i think it is if u get bad position in search results ) then he is already good to go.

if your old article is not indexed yet then you can use it on another site plus before publishing new article content erase old one.

Ok thanks all, I have put a noindex on the post just don't know how long it will take. And once it's gone from the index I will also delete it too I forgot about that.

Would you say that if the article isn't ranking after 2 months then the domain is junk!

Why don't you just rewrite the article using other words and phrases? Rewriting 400 words is mothing, half an hour of work. You'll spend more time asking for advice on the forum.

You need to wait about a week. It's the maximum term, usually indexing is faster.
