Hey guys i was wondering what i am doing wrong and i need advice.

At this moment i run a few Facebook ads which have a great click-through rate but a terrible conversion rate.

I am running a Kickstarter at the moment with topic: "Custom made rings".
My facebook ads look pretty solid and a am able to pull thousands of people daily to my project.

Yet i do not have one single conversion. This really bugs me and i couldn't figure out why.

About my ads;
They have a relevance score of 9-10.

Stats:
vXVrbov

Audience:
Look-a-like audience Based on Kickstarter backers that have backed 20+ in the fashion / Jewelry section.

Conversions: 0

Since i only have bad experiences with Facebook ads i'm really not sure if i'm doing anything wrong.

As for the Kickstarter itself it's 80% funded and got funded 25% on day one. So the project itself does convert pretty well ( only by people on Kickstarter itself ).

I know it isn't just as easy as putting an ad online and off you go but out of all those highly targeted ads not a single conversion is the thing that bugs me.

These are all 18 second video ads that have a average watching time of 15 seconds.

If you guys got any tips for me please let me know. I wish to start converting since i want to reach my goal ( 14 days left ).

Any other tips on advertising your Kickstarter campaign are also welcome! But that's another topic.

Thanks in advance.

How big of an audience are you targeting?

How specific is it to your audience?

Remember it's not about how many people you target for Selling Conversions is about how many INTERESTED people you target, be sure to narrow down to your core niche audience and filter out all the other people who aren't active shoppers on facebook.

My audience should be very narrowed down. I tested both audiences of about 300K people, 2M and 12M. They are all look-alikes from Kickstarter backers.

I am not sure how i can fine-tune it even more.

I even ran an ad on the list i got specificaly which where all hardcore backers.

I think I mentioned this on another of your threads, but your targeted facebook audience is likely mostly women (frequent jewellery buyers) and your kickstarter is not tailored to that audience.

that would explain why it is not converting.

I would consider targeting your facebook campaign to men only, and look for other attributes that are relevant to your product.

Yep but since that post i totally updated my Kickstarter campaign to a more neutral / all-gender look.

Anyways going for men you recommend adding interests like watches etc.?

I might have to try this on UK only + watches as interest. I did read somewhere that the UK goes crazy for watches somehow.

The Metrics are very good. I think you have to optimize your LP. Do you use heatmaps? Look where are the gaps, where people break up.

I wish i could. Since it's a Kickstarter project i can't do much about it other than making my story as a-ok as i can.

Can't even install a Facebook pixel :(.

there must be wrong with audience you have targeted or may be the location..

That is what i was thinking. Though this is a paid custom audience list based on Kickstarter pledgers in that categorie..

Nice cpc's.

What's the price what new customers need to invest? How long is actual projects delivery time?

These are the thing people usually check! If these rings will be delivered in 3-4 months, it kind of makes sense they don't care. I mean your targeting/audience are jewellry buyers! These girls/guys need to get their hands on this in matter of 24 hours(amazon prime wtf), not months. Even when it's unique, it's still something that people buy with emotions and when you buy with emotions, you want it FAST.

don't waste money on fb ads, use gogole ads ,

Only an idiot would say that, don't do marketing, for real! Yesterday stats, started mid day as I don't run over weekend, 100% facebook ads traffic, currently at 6kish daily spends with revenue of:

I don't think it's the wrong Audience, you would never have that much link clicks and get such a high relevance score.

I have no experience with promoting kickstarter, but why you do not use a LP? This way you get back control and understand what is happening after the link clicks.

I think my audience is indeed pretty OK.

As for the delivery times i think it should be fine. I am one of the projects that actually starts shipping out after 1 month instead of some projects that will ship somewhere mid 2019.
Of course the truth is they will have to wait a month, and learn about Kickstarter if they never did anything with it.

As the price is €50 it's the perfect amount for a Kickstarter and the product.

Since my Kickstarter is fully funded now and i only have 8 days left i figured i will put my Facebook ads on hold.

I tried some more ads with static photo's. Same issue; lot of likes, lot of comments, shares and interest and clicks but no conversion so far.

I just put my ads on a few dollars a day for the few page likes i get from it.

Yet i am very curious how these ads will do once my product is live and is purchasable on my webshop.

Still i already got my mind on my next Kickstarter and i hope i can do better with Facebook ads at that time.

Just still bugs me that the metrics look great and conversions can't be worse.

In all these days i did get a little result of 3 pledges. Even so not worth it at all looking at costs / reward.
