Well, got about the worst possible news I could have ever received in terms of my Social Media company. My PayPal rep called just now and said that all PayPal accounts selling Social Media services will be terminated 48 hours from now. This was apparently a corporate decision and can not be appealed. If you sell these services and have yet to receive word on this, you will likely just be terminated without warning 48 hours from now, so start preparing.

Anyone who purchases these services, they have obviously just made things insanely more difficult for you to purchase, but my question to you guys is, what payment options do/would you use alternatively?

There are many other payment methods other than paypal. Most panels have a number of ways to pay such a Crypto.

You have this in writing somewhere?
It was a phone call warning. I'm guessing the in writing one will be received in 48 hours.

I know, but PayPal accounts for 90% of the payments.

how do they know that the accounts are used for that? like im actually curious to know o.o

Social media services includes SEO services?
Don't really think so but i see how it can be related. so maybe? with paypal you gotta be cautious, ive had 2 ghost accounts closed in the last month for apparently no reason after years of using several ghost accounts.

I'm guessing anything related to selling views, likes, followers for any of the social media companies. Strictly SEO services, I would assume is not included in this.

A lot they probably would not, but accounts with enough volume and a rep I guess they have it selected as thats what they sell and they'll be shutting us down. I would assume it will then trickle down to the smaller guys with just a few payments.

i can see nothing to afraid here , use fnf payment for panel service , tell your user to send fnf without any note , and done ,, if u using checkout / express checkout , and every invoice has the social service title , that gotta be ......

Agreed, We need a little proof to believe such a thing, and what classifies as social media services? Fiver gigs? Instagram shoutouts? Or agencies managing business facebook ads? I guess id recommend Payoneer.

My rep from PayPal just called and told me this. What do I gain from lying about this? I wish this wasn't true, but unfortunately it is very true. If its not out in writing yet, we'll see it in 48 hours.

They cannot just terminate accounts overnight, they need to make it public first so people can prepare and stop selling those kind of services.

Right, You could even just change the title of your services when billing or something, Instead of "social media", you could say "marketing consultation"

Anything selling social media services such as views, likes, followers (I'm guessing). Other things are fine I would assume, but I'm not sure until they release the official rules on this.

As much as I'd agree with you from a business moral stand point, they don't have to and if they are terminating us all anyways, they clearly have no incentive to keeping us sellers happy.

Yes, but they will still eventually figure it out and ban you I'm guessing. I don't know how serious this is yet, I'm simply relaying the message that was conveyed to me from my rep.

Things were easy before without restrictions, this will just make things MUCH more complicated. I guess we'll see how this plays out and go from there.

Can someone tell me why , thanks
It was a corporate decision. No idea yet to be honest. Could have been a lot of different reasons.

How sure were you that it was a legitimate call? I mean it would wipe alot of income out for them as it's big in trade. In regards to alternate services Crypto? Credit card?

Positive. Its my rep who we speak with all the time over the phone.

You're an idiot. You'll see in 48 hours. If you're not going to bring anything constructive to this conversation, get out.
