I found this site when I was browsing. Site has gone from zero to 2.3K within less than a month.
Fresh domain with age of 50days.
Indexed pages: 179
keywords are easy but look at this image, is it possible to achieve this in 20 days in 2018?

I have been doing testing like this for some months now and yes it is possible. All you need are highly optimized on-page, low monthly searches, very few backlinks and a newish domain. But my biggest challenge right now is to keep the domain ranking higher and higher for longer durations as they mostly seem to start tanking after the 2 months mark.

P.M me the site details for better analysis. I can't definitely tell what they are doing right without knowing more.

Sorry guys, It's not my site anyway, but I don't want to share the url here and ruin the business of that unknown person,
just want to discuss and share possibilities and others experiences, different strategies etc.

It is possible if you know what you are doing. And you have a lot of money to spend.

Long form content, good On-page, low affiliate links and proper linking will help it. One of my site is 2 months old and is on first page for some keywords. Just focus on content, rest all follows (ofcourse you need to work on it but if you don't have read worthy content, no amount of SEO will help you).

I think its all depends on the niche. When was Russian world cup many fresh, well structured and optimized site get alike traffic in no time. Same behavior I notice when was Bitcoin boom
