Domain Hosting Like Godaddy

I have spent last 3 days looking to switch from Godaddy.
I got confused on one search, thinking that the Fastcomet was similar
to Godaddy. I think they are a reseller.
I then did some more researching and found A2Hosting.
I like the convenience of being able to do the domain name search,then reserve name, because
it's sort of like a hobby, to find some catchy domain names and reserve them.
Before I go ahead and do the switch, I do have domain names I will be transferring.
A2Hosting has free transfer. A lot of the services Godaddy charges separately for, A2 includes.
Like a lot of extras. Godaddy charges for privacy, ssl, every last damn thing, in addition to
incessant upsell pop ups, to the point that it is now impossible to do any editing with
the online website builder.
I've had enough.
Feedback appreciated. I don't work for any domain hosting, nor any affiliation whatsoever.
I may be getting a website to build for an acquaintance, and I can't ethically help
him get a site up with the present hosting company.

I switched from GoDaddy to Gocreateme, Alexa ranking was dropping but now its stable but its cheap and support is awesome.

Godaddy offers the low low price to get people in the door. Then once your set up then you see you need to add this and that and it starts adding up. Most people end up just staying as they dont know any better. IF you can find a provider that has all that you need for a better price then go ahead and move.
